Holiness, holiness is what
You want for me

About Micah Stampley
Micah Stampley, a gospel singer, songwriter, choir director, and music pastor, was born in Los Angeles, California on September 7, 1971, but his family moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana shortly after his birth and he grew up there. Early on, he showed a talent for music and singing, and by the age of four, he was a member of his father’s choir. At age seven, he was directing the choir, although he had to stand on a table so that the singers could see him. He began playing the piano at age 13. Shortly before Stampley’s high school graduation, his family relocated to Natchitoches, where he completed his education. With a magnificent, multi-octave voice and a knack for composing harmonies and conducting vocal ensembles, he opted to pursue careers as both a musician and a preacher, a decision that was solidified when he met and wed fellow gospel singer Heidi Jones in 1998. Jones also became his songwriting partner, and he was quickly signed to the record company of preacher T.D. Jakes.
